Editing and proofreading recommendations
Sally provided excellent editorial skills which greatly improved my book on plant compounds. She was able to simplify complex scientific information, converting it into a more readable text. Sally kept in contact while working through the manuscript. She took the trouble to think about the subject, so that she could provide valuable and insightful suggestions. I highly recommend Sally’s editing skills.
Dr Paul Williams, Vegetation Management Science
We have had the good fortune to work with Sally on several large, and in a couple of instances complicated publishing projects, usually with very tight deadlines. She has been in every instance accommodating, proactive and thorough, as well as most pleasant to deal with even under ever-present pressure.
If your next project requires a proof reader and indexer, we would not hesitate to recommend her very highly!

I have had the great pleasure of working with Sally for developing a website to make some educational materials available online. Sally did a fantastic job of editing the website content to make it user friendly. She has an eye for detail and can pick up even minor typos or errors that a normal person would often miss. Sally is a lovely person to work with.
I would highly recommend her for any editorial or proofreading job.
Navneet Dhand, Associate Professor in Vet Biostatistics and Epidemiology at The University of Sydney
In my work at the University of Sydney, I supervise a number of international research students, many of whom do not have English as a first language. While these students do high quality and incisive work, often their written English language is not perfect and this can distract from the important information they are seeking to communicate. SP Editing has provided timely and high quality editing of written material produced by many of my international students. SP Editing uses a ‘light touch’ in that the substance is not altered, only the grammar or spelling improved such that the essence of each sentence is effectively communicated to the reader. I have no hesitation in recommending SP Editing services for such work.

Indexing recommendations
Sally Pope provided me a prompt, professional indexing service within the discipline of linguistics. She demonstrated a strong understanding of the field and performed above expectations by providing a comprehensive index, as well as additional editing and advice in relation to layout and formatting. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a professionally generated academic index, particularly in the Humanities.
Associate Professor Elizabeth Thomson, Director, Learning Design, Division of Student Learning, Charles Sturt University
Sally knows the craft of indexing so well and it was extremely helpful to have her professional indexing. I was a novice in book publication, so I had no idea about it but she did it all for me even though the topic of the book is about a language other than English. She made sure I was happy with what she was doing during the process by contacting me to update the process. This in fact gave me a very good learning experience of indexing. She was professional in the quality of indexing, the estimated cost and the deadline. She was also very communicative, so the entire process was very easy and comfortable. Thank you , Sally!

I just wanted to drop you a line to extend my thanks to you on the annual report index. It’s a piece of art! A masterpiece!
Seriously, it’s so comprehensive and so much more than I dared hope it would be.
Grateful to you for getting the annual report to the quality product it is.

Illustration work recommendations
Thank you for your beautiful illustrations. Not only are they stunning, but when I included your images in my social media posts about my survey, more people looked at the survey and more of those completed the survey. You have a brilliant knack of being able to turn ideas into pictures. Thanks for showing me drafts so that we could refine this. You’ve been a dream to work with.

Lecturer, Professional Practice in Veterinary Science at The University of Sydney; co-author of Veterinary Ethics: Navigating Tough Cases (published by 5M) and co-editor of the Vet Cookbook (published by the Centre for Veterinary Education).
Ms Pope did some great technical drawing work for Meat and Livestock Australia as we updated our best practice husbandry guides.
Her drawings of sheep and cattle heads and how use captive bolt guns are excellent and are now published in our most popular publication ‘Is it fit to load?’ (MLA 2012) – over 70,000 published and distributed. This work required accuracy and delicacy.
Her drawings in ‘A producer’s guide to sheep husbandry practices’, MLA 2013 are practical and useful.
Her work also appears in a textbook chapter on sheep parasitology that I wrote, and the drawings are perfect.
I unreservedly recommend her for technical and animal drawings and schematics.
